Kei te pai press is an ‘indigenous led sharing and learning project—prioritising narratives centered around sovereignty, potentiality and resistance.’ Ke te pai press was founded in 2020 by Hana Pera Aoake (Ngāti Mahuta, Ngāti Hinerangi, Tainui/Waikato) and Morgan Godfery (Te Pahipoto, Ngāti Maniapoto, Ngāi Tūhoe, Ngāti Tūwharetoa, Lalomanu).

For Matarau, Kei te pai press have edited and produced a newspaper titled Te Kotahitanga. Designed by Kimi Moana Whiting, Te Kotahitanga brings together a collection of writing spanning generations and various literary contexts.

Te Kotahitanga features articles, poetry, and prose from authors such as Ranginui Walker, Keri Hulme, J.C. Sturm and others, and also includes an interview between Morgan Godfrey, Hana Pera Aoake and Emily Karaka.
